I have noticed on some designs people have turned art work upside down. How is this possible? I can't find a way to do it.
How are xp's determined? I have noticed that I receive different amounts each time
The XP from each challenge is exactly equal to how much “money” your design is worth.
How do you see the voting (your ranking) while the voting is still in progress? People have mentioned how they are doing, but I can't seem to find that, to see how my design is doing before voting closes.

When you buy item packages in the the store how do you access the 1 or 2 unlocks that come with?
Start a new design that requires them. If it’s new carpet click to see carpet options and they will be there, etc.
To unlock more options, you will need to stockpile tokens. Once you have the required token inventory, they will unlock.

Remember what they are used for, such as floors or walls, then go into a new challenge and click on part they would be used for and scroll to find them within the choices. If you are in bought choices swipe right to see all choices including ones you haven’t bought yet.
How can I use art or fabric as wallpaper? I did it unintentionally once and now I can not figure out how to make it happen again.
That must have been a mural wall in that specific challenge, and they programmed it to be filled by a piece of art instead of a wall finish. Same with the fabric. That's the only way you can you can do it. Sorry! :-) Nattie_Cake

Yes you get all the coins and materials etc that you have unlocked through season pass even if you buy it after completing
Why aren't the Kids items I own showing up/available during challenges? Not even the ones directed to be for children.
The game limits the materials allowed for the duel. Perhaps hoping you'll spend money for the items you want.
They are right. More specifically, though, the app limits the products in each challenge, duel or not. Specifically, a lot of challenges don't let you access murals, tiles, kids products, fading walls, colored bricks, and stuff like that. Most commonly, you do not have access to blue and white vases, wicker, and bath mats unless they are very specific to the design. It's just how they roll. 🤷🏼♀️ Hope this helps! :-) Nattie_Cake

Does anyone know how to do the Design duel????
Design duels will appear with a purple symbol in the challenge section. You only get one a day, and, for me, they usually start a lot later than the daily challenge. To see upcoming challenges/duels, scroll through the live challenges and they will have "upcoming [n]hours" in blue on them. To enter a design duel, simply tap a live duel challenge. Your opponents design will then appear, and you can simply tap your screen to reveal the blank canvas to get started. Once you have finished (or during your designing) you can compare your design with your opponent's. Then when you're ready just press submit, and voting will be finished in 2 hours. You can also get additional duels using redeem codes.
My question too?
When voting, why are there different amounts awarded? One vote will earn you $350 whole another will earn you $60, then the next one will jump up to $75... Don't see that pattern of consistency. Any clues? Thanks
Usually you will be voting in lots of either 5 or 10. For 5 votes you receive $350, for 10 you receive $750, but this will begin to decrease after you have voted a certain # of times per 24 hour period. In addition, occasionally you will vote in an odd amount of pairings (not 5 or 10), in that case you will receive less $$ than for the "normal" amount.
Hi there. Whenever I need to design the room it's all black, I cant design properly, I cant test colors and texture and play with it it normally before submitting, ive tried reinstalling but nothing. How do I fix this glitch?
I messaged about this to the customer service people. They are aware that some android phones are black screens when in the design phase. They are working on it.... that's what I was told

When creating a room, is there a way to filter colours, materials etc to save looking through every item in your collection?
You can slide the choice screen over to the left to view a screen that filters the items that you already own. You can also find this by selecting "Own" at the bottom of the selection screen return by dejection "All" to see all the choices, both available and unavailable.
As of yet I don’t think there is an option to filter between colours, materials etc however it would be a good addition. You can only filter between All or Owned at the moment

On the squares for each of your material options is a circle with the # of uses left. Most of these are gray. Some are blue. Some are green. Some are gold. Some are even purple! What do these colors signify? Example:
The different colours represent what type of material it is - Grey is Basic, Green is Classic, Blue is Deluxe, Orange is Superior, Purple is premium

Why so much love of beige? Beige or Black/White seem to win most of the votes.
It has to do with nordic designs that is very in fashion now. Earthly tones, Pantone colors, monochrome colors.
When u read the design brief & it states the client has picked out some of the colours, tiles textiles for us to chose from, how do I tell which items out of all the items there is the 1s they have picked out? Thank u
The options they show you will ONLY include those items the client had previously selected.
I can't figure out how to use the cash in the game. It only seems to let me use gold coins to purchase any decor items. So how and on what can I use my cash? I'm low on coin but have plenty of cash that I wish I could use since I have a pretty limited amount of design choices and no way to buy more.
When you need more cash you need to convert gold to cash 1:1 but, you don't earn them equally. Why dont you have more ways to earn gold or set it so gold will give you more cash and in order to get more gold you have to spend more to get cash instead? Paying for season pass should be for 1 year instead of charging 4.99 every season. At this rate I can save my money and purchase my WOW. The game may cost but there is so much in there to do it is worth the money, This is not a role playing game and you have to pay more than I would have to if I wanted specific items for my WOW account.

I've noticed every once in a while someones design has different lighting effects than the others. This was especially obvious during the Halloween event, when a particular design had a painting/ window overlay that looked like spirits pressed against the glass. How does this happen? Is this something that is bought in a bundle?
Certain materials brought that feature out (in the Halloween event I think it was reflective materials that made the faces appear). A bit like when you’re using chrome you can see the reflection of the rest of the room, it’s just a property of that material.
What does the dollar amount on the top designer 24 list represent?
What I have noticed is when I complete a challenge shortly after I can see the rankings and it appears you fall into the rankings based on when you complete the design and so far I’ve never moved from that spot. So I really don’t understand how the voting works. Has anyone else noticed this?

What do the various item color coding markers indicate? There is: gray, green, blue, purple, and orange.
The different colors indicate the quality of material ... Grey = Basic, Green = Classic, Blue = Deluxe, Orange = Superior, Purple = Premium
I have noticed the first place winners spend the most money. The 10th place spends the least. Explains why boring wins and beautiful loses.
Not true. Ive seen winners that has spend just 2k and saw one that spend 11k and came last. The voting depends on the tastes of the people that voted for your design at that time. Id u share same tastes, the voter most likely will vote for u. You get unlucky if you design a earthly toned room and unfortunately the voters that get to vote for u likes rainbow hues.

What does it mean in the challenges to any box 10 times? Also what is a landscape design? I did one and won the challenge but I don't know how i did it.

The scores are calculated based off of the voting system and it seems rarely also by design value. Ibelieve that your expereince in the game may influence your scores. For example, I've just noticed that I'm placing more but before, I was more often than not coming last. However, I'm probably also better at the game now. I'm unsure why most people have 4.[n] stars, but I have gotten 3-something in the past. I've also gotten a 5, so just keep playing and if your design is amazing it will happen. A tip from me is to use the redesign feature, and get inspo from high scoring designs and from the voting feature.
Why is the scale so weird on some of the spaces to be decorated? I mean there are giant windows and tiny chairs everywhere...but usually when they focus on a specific area that includes a window. The windows are ginormous and the chairs look like they belong in a dollhouse. Why not consistency?

This is not an app that will reward you with real life cash. Those kind of apps require you to spend real life money in hopes of getting more real life cash if you win. Unless you are a very lucky person they are like going to a casino and you aren’t likely to come out ahead.
The game is fun but why so expensive? I have spent some to buy season pass, gold and coins but I cannot see myself to stick with the game as it is just too expensive.
You dont have to pay to play the game. You can opt to earn green money by voting and gold with patience das by das. The great advantage is the game is all ad free

I agree. I think they make you buy the same colour for different areas. Like white paint for walls can’t be used on windows.
I find nobody sticks to the requirements in groups I'm in nobody like colours pink or pastels they all just do their own thing but one design always wins and that's the monochrome it's so annoying people put lovely designs up but never win It's a kinda unfair game when you look at some of the designs that actually win They say beauty is in the beholder so its 9k not to do a design to the requirements
It is hard to stick with requirements when you are only given 1 design piece. Sometimes you don't even have the option to buy anything with cash so you do with what you have. Its disappointing at times. I do enjoy the game though. I do wish you got to use whatever choices you have bought on anything.
I also get frustrated when designs win that don't follow the brief. I would take that into consideration when I vote, but I don't see the briefs when voting, so I'm left with selecting the design I like best. Perhaps I'm missing something, but it makes briefs somewhat meaningless. It would be nice for the game to make the brief visible during voting.
Is the brief given for each design optional?
Yes, the brief is completely optional. If there are specific requirements for the design, you'll only be given those materials as choices. Don't believe the people who say that not following the brief equals not following the rules. It's not a rule!

After u have submitted ur 1st design go to completed games find the design u have just finished click on the view button at the bottom it will bring up the design & table. Under the room design (which is scrolling through the designs that have been admitted) u will see create a redesign button in orange click on that & it will bring it up again blank so u can design it again.

How do you complete a seasonal challenge? Example my daily challenges says Seasonal: win a challenge or Seasonal: complete 2 season pass challenges. I don't understand how to do this. No matter what I've done in the game I have never been able to complete these tasks
To complete a season pass challenge you must first buy the season pass. $4.99 for 33 days. Also… It’s difficult to be able to do get the other season rewards stuff without a pass because you will only have the free season rewards materials to use whereas if you bought the pass you will get all of the stuff for that season.
When you start a new challenge but don’t finish, what happens to the items you used? Do you still have them or are they gone?
Items don’t officially leave your inventory until you actually submit a design.
How do you increase your star average in this game?
It is based on the star number you receive once a challenge ends. If you receive enough high scores your star average will increase.
